Abiding Blooms offers compassionate therapy that’s genuine, caring and warm.  Whether you’re feeling stuck or facing something new,  I’m here to provide support and connection.

I value creating a safe space for you to process life, both the trials and triumphs. Maybe you’re feeling alone, unseen, or exhausted but can’t put your finger on why. Maybe you’re feeling overwhelmed because of stress or a new season of life. Therapy can help bring awareness and clarity to the “why”, develop coping skills, and tap into strengths, moving you towards greater health and wholeness.

I serve women throughout Texas, ages 18+, through a HIPPA-compliant telehealth session. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) principles, practice trauma-informed care, and value an integrated approach (body, mind, soul, and spirit). I believe that your story matters, so we will consider your story with curiosity and compassion.

As a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), I’ve worked the following issues:

  • Transitions like college, career, and motherhood

  • Depression and anxiety (mild to moderate)

  • Grief and loss

  • Conflict and communication

  • Codependency and boundaries

  •  Shame, body image, self-worth/identity

  •  Chronic illness

  • Faith-based counseling

  • ADHD Support/Overwhelm

  • The “father wound”

  • Trauma-Informed

Counseling from a Christian perspective is available upon request, and I welcome working with you wherever you are on your spiritual journey.

Connecting-Abiding-Transforming

Jessica Bargenquest, MA, LPC, CCATP

Everyone has a story, and I love providing space for women to feel heard, known, and supported. The desire to help others in this way stirred when I was a teenager.

I am a native Texan who earned a BA in Psychology from Southern Methodist University and a Master of Arts in Counseling from Dallas Baptist University. As a Licensed Professional Counselor, I have worked in various mental health settings, but I have also subbed in our local school district and written adoption home studies.

For a season I took a career break to focus on raising our children. Being a wife and mother has shaped me and added not only to my personal toolkit, but also to my professional growth. I value connection and transformation as a wife, mother,  friend and therapist.

When I’m not in the office, I enjoy simple, focused time with family and friends. I love quiet early mornings reading my Bible and prefer Diet Coke over coffee. I also love baking, historical fiction, walking and working out! My husband and I have 3 children and a dog named Tater Tot.

Appointments

Thank you for letting me be a part of your story.

Abiding Blooms offers individual online therapy for women 18+. You must be located in Texas for services.

For our appointments, you need a private comfortable space, free from distractions, and an internet ready device. Abiding Blooms uses an online HIPPA secure platform called Simple Practice. After your appointment is confirmed, you will receive a link for joining the video call about 15 minutes prior to your appointment.

During your first appointment, we get to know each other, go over your paperwork, and discuss your hopes or goals for therapy. Standard appointments are 50 minutes. Appointments are scheduled according to your needs and my availability.

A part of the process is building therapeutic rapport and trust. I want to create a safe space for you as we process. I’m here to honor your willingness and courage in seeking therapy.

Abiding Blooms is a private pay practice and does not accept insurance at this time. Clients often value the discretion, flexibility, and clinical focus that private pay allows. I can provide a superbill once monthly. You may use the superbill to seek personal reimbursement with your ONN benefits. I do not verify benefits or have personal contact with a client’s insurance. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate of what your services may cost. Everyone’s therapy experience is different, but an average length of therapy might include 8-10 sessions.
